As you know the Sustainable Development Goals 2030 are an ambitious global agenda. Therefore diverse capacities are required to come on board to achieve the SDG aspirations. The 13 th Global Programme of Work (GPW13) for strategic direction in Sustainable Development Agenda 2030 (SDG) for health is vital for the future of our world.

In this conference, MOH with the support of WHO focuses on Access to medical products which is one of the critical factors for success of the SDG Agenda. Universal health coverage and access to medical products, is one of the regional flagship priorities for countries in the WHO South-East Asia Region.

The main objective of the 2nd World Conference 2018 is to take forward the recommendations from the 1st World Conference 2017 and build on the work done for access to medical products in the context of SDGs (including trade agreements) in line with GPW 13 of WHO.

The Conference has been designed where experts are invited for providing guidance and specific recommendations leading to possible policy interventions relating to the various themes of GPW 13, Innovation & Manufacturing, Regulation & Access and Financing, Legal Landscape & Trade-related Aspects in the context of Access to Medical Products. We request you to participate for all the three days in the Conference and provide your valuable inputs for tangible outcomes.

We hope we will all be enriched by each other’s participation and make it an unforgettable event. Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India welcomes you to India with an abiding belief in ‘vasudhaivakutumbakam’, that is, ‘the world is one family’!
